During the visit, Nagar inspected help desks set up for farmers, facilities at entry and main gates, availability of gunny bags with commission agents, and the complaint register. He directed officials to address farmers’ grievances on a priority basis.

“With the aim of further strengthening the foodgrain procurement process, the state government has upgraded the currently operating e-procurement portal, in which several new provisions have been added. During the rabi procurement season 2026-27, at the time of arrival of wheat brought by farmers for sale in the mandis and procurement centres, a photo of the vehicle along with its registration number will be captured to ensure transparency in the process. To ensure that farmers do not face any inconvenience in the markets, necessary facilities and arrangements have been further strengthened so that timely and easy lifting of their produce can be ensured,” Nagar said.
