Fatehabad college wins overall trophy at 12th Triveni Youth Fest

The college also secured the running trophies in music, theatre, literary events and fine arts. The dance running trophy went to the university teaching department of the CDLU. The final day featured energetic performances in the general group dance and Haryanvi group song categories.
The closing and award ceremony was attended by former Vice-Chancellor of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology and current Adviser, Higher Education Haryana, Prof Rajendra Kumar Anayath; Prof Manish Kumar from the School of Physical Sciences, JNU, New Delhi; and former CDLU Registrar and current Controller of Examinations, CRSU, Dr Rajesh Bansal. Addressing the gathering, they said student life was the golden period of a person’s life and that discipline, personal development and commitment to society and the nation should be the priority of every student.
Anayath said cultural activities played a key role in shaping the overall personality of the students. He added that winning was secondary and participation itself was an achievement. CDLU Vice-Chancellor Prof Vijay Kumar told the students that such festivals helped channelise the energy of the youth and provide a platform not just for artistic expression but also for developing confidence, discipline and leadership. He said the university aimed at promoting education, culture and social responsibility together and that events like this strengthen the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.” He congratulated the winners and wished them success.
Youth Welfare Director Dr Manju Nehra thanked Vijay Kumar and Registrar Dr Sunil Kumar for their guidance, which helped ensure the successful organisation of the festival. She said more than 40 competitions were held across four stages, covering Haryanvi, Indian and western music, dance, theatre, fine arts, literature and knowledge-based events. She expressed gratitude to all participating colleges, judges, staff and students for their support.
The ceremony was attended by Sunil Kumar, event observer Prof Mohammad Kashif Kidwai, PRO Dr Amit Sangwan, Prof Ranjit Kaur, Rajesh Chhikara and principals and team managers from various colleges. During the event, BA performing arts student Aadi Agarwal released a music track he had created, captivating the audience with his performance.
