Acting on a tip-off about suspicious individuals carrying a large sum of cash, the police set up a checkpoint and intercepted the car. The occupants were detained for questioning. Authorities are also coordinating with other agencies to follow up on leads that emerged during the preliminary inquiry.

According to sources, those travelling in the car claimed that the money belonged to a rice mill business and was part of regular trade transactions. They have been asked to produce supporting documents within two days to substantiate their claim. Fatehabad Superintendent of Police Siddhant Jain said the action was part of intensified vigilance in the district.
