The police have initiated proceedings in court under Section 182 of the IPC against a woman and three men for allegedly lodging a false gang rape complaint against BJP leader Mandeep Malik and another man, Pradeep.

Pradeep, a resident of Niyana village, alleged that Surender Jangra, his relative Gajender Jangra, Bunty Jangra and a Muslim woman filed a fabricated FIR at the Hisar Sadar police station accusing him and Malik of gang rape. Acting on their complaint, the police had initially registered a case against both men.

Calling the allegations “false and motivated”, Pradeep said he had purchased shops in a real estate project where Surender was a director. He said he had complained to authorities about illegal construction in the project and had also approached the CM Window alleging that a road had been built on HSVP land without approval.

His complaint was probed by a monitoring committee headed by BJP’s Mandeep Malik. Following the inquiry, HSVP was directed to take action against the illegally constructed road, which was subsequently demolished. According to Pradeep, this triggered a grudge, prompting Surender and others to “conspire to lodge a false gang rape case” on October 22, 2024.

Police investigation later found the allegations baseless, leading to cancellation of the FIR. The woman then moved the Punjab and Haryana High Court, which ordered an SIT probe on March 2, 2025. The SIT reaffirmed that the accusations were unsubstantiated and submitted a cancellation report on April 29, 2025. Her protest petition was later dismissed by the court.

Pradeep added that Gajender had also filed another complaint against him on February 20, 2025, which too was investigated by an SIT and cancelled. He claimed the accused had “conspired to frame him and damage his reputation”.

Police have now filed a complaint in court under Section 182 of the IPC against Surender Jangra, Gajender Jangra, Bunty Jangra and the unidentified woman for further action.
