Gita-inspired book explores alternative to capitalism

‘Gita-Inspired Needonomics — A Pragmatic Solution for Sustainable Future’, a book authored by Madan Mohan Goel, economist and former Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Sriperumbudur, Chennai, has been released.

The book aims to present an alternative to what the author describes as “greed-driven” capitalism. It invites readers to rethink consumption, production and the progress instead of chasing profit maximisation and limitless desires.

‘Needonomics’ aims to encourage living within limits, valuing contentment and practicing righteous action.
