Guru Jambheshwar University Vice-Chancellor gets extension till further orders
Prof Bishnoi said that he would diligently fulfill the responsibility entrusted to him
The tenure of Prof Narsi Ram Bishnoi as the Vice-Chancellor of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, (GJUST) has been extended with effect from May 2 till further orders.
A notification has been issued by Haryana Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh, who is also Chancellor of University in this regard.
Prof Bishnoi said that he would diligently fulfill the responsibility entrusted to him.
The VC said that the university is continuously strengthening its identity at national and international levels as currently the university holds a Scopus H-Index of 141, which is the highest in this region. The university boasts 5,912 research publications and over 1,34,000 citations.
The university recently witnessed some acrimony when a section of student activists led by JJP leader Digvijay Chautala created ruckus at the VC office after the denial of holding an event at the university. The police booked the JJP activists and arrested six persons.
