Chairing the workshop, Rewari Additional Deputy Commissioner Rahul Modi directed the heads of all departments to ensure that an internal committee was formed under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace(Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Act), 2013, commonly known as PoSH Act, in all offices where more than 10 employees were working.

“After forming the internal committee, a report has to be sent to the office of the Nodal Officer-cum-District Programme Officer, Women and Child Development.

It is also mandatory for all institutions to register themselves on the Sexual Harassment electronic Box — or SHe-Box — portal,” the ADC said.

He warned that if any institution did not form the internal committee, legal action would be taken against the official(s) concerned under the PoSH Act.
