Haryana aims $1 trillion economy by 2047: CM at NITI Aayog meet

Saini said the meeting was taking place at a time when India, under the Prime Minister’s leadership, was moving rapidly towards the goal of Viksit Bharat-2047 during the Amrit Kaal period. He noted that Haryana has prepared its Vision Document-2047 in line with the national vision, with the state aiming to contribute more than $1 trillion to the Indian economy by 2047 and raise per capita income to over Rs 40 lakh.

Highlighting achievements, Saini said Haryana was the first state to implement the National Education Policy, with efforts underway to boost school enrolment, awareness about early education and quality in government schools, while expanding higher education opportunities for girls.

He stated that Haryana ranks first in the country in implementing the National Apprenticeship Programme, with 1,520 apprentices per lakh population – the highest in the country. For this achievement, Haryana has been honoured with the Champion of Change Award.

Calling Haryana the “powerhouse of sports,” Saini said the state is working to transform sports into a mass movement, inspired by the Prime Minister’s Khelo India vision.

He added that the government has launched the Make in Haryana Industrial Policy-2026 along with nine new sector-specific policies, aiming to attract Rs 5 lakh crore in investment and generate 10 lakh new jobs over the next five years.
