Haryana BJP chief Badoli gets relief in gang-rape case as court accepts cancellation report
The victim has challenged the lower court’s order in the District and Sessions Judge, Solan, arguing that she wasn’t given a fair opportunity to file objections
In a major relief for Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli, the Kasauli court accepted the police’s cancellation report in a case involving gang-rape and criminal intimidation of a woman on March 12, 2025. The victim had alleged that she was forced to consume liquor and later raped at a Kasauli hotel in July 2023.
The police had booked Badoli and singer Rocky Mittal, alias Jai Bhagwan, on charges of gang-rape and criminal intimidation based on the woman’s December 13, 2024 complaint. However, the police filed a cancellation report on February 4, 2025, which the victim objected to.
The Kasauli court accepted the cancellation report after considering the police’s arguments and the victim’s objections. The court noted that the victim had failed to appear on March 6 and March 12, 2025.
The victim has challenged the lower court’s order in the District and Sessions Judge, Solan, arguing that she wasn’t given a fair opportunity to file objections.
