Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini announces rural skill centres, new IT hubs
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday unveiled a series of initiatives to promote employment, self-employment and industrial growth under the Haryana Vision @2047 roadmap, with plans to establish specialised skill centres in 100 rural clusters and strengthen support for startups and women entrepreneurs.
Chairing a meeting with officials of the MSME, Industries and Startup Haryana departments, Saini directed officials to encourage startups in every district.
The government will identify 100 high-potential rural clusters to establish skill centres tailored to local industries, including bead manufacturing in Hisar, handloom in Panipat, farm equipment and dairy in Karnal, and pottery in Yamunanagar. Under the PM SETU Scheme, ITIs will introduce new courses, while at least 25 ITIs will be adopted by private companies to improve industry linkages and ensure jobs for over 70% of trainees.
