Haryana CM reviews development works at state-level DISHA meeting

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini chaired a meeting of the state-level Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) via video-conferencing on Wednesday. Mahendragarh Deputy Commissioner Capt Manoj Kumar presented the Chief Minister with progress reports on various Central and state-sponsored schemes currently under way in the district.

"The road network in Mahendragarh has been strengthened under the District Mineral Foundation (DMF). The Dholera bypass road has been completed at a cost of Rs 3.40 crore. The road to Bakhrija village, costing Rs 56.32 lakh and the road to Rawat Ki Dhani, costing Rs 68.46 lakh, have also been completed," he stated.

Capt Manoj informed the meeting that under the Prime Minister's Agricultural Irrigation Scheme (Watershed Component), a target of 200 natural resource management works has been set in Mahendragarh, adding that an amount of Rs 3 crore has been allocated for the purpose so far.

Processing of spices is being promoted in the district under the 'One District One Product' scheme to increase the income of the local farmers, maintained the Deputy Commissioner.

"A special campaign was launched to reduce the school dropout rate in the district," he said, adding that the process of connecting the identified children to mainstream education through bridge courses and providing uniform grants to all eligible students by opening their bank accounts is in progress.

Following the meeting with the Chief Minister, the Deputy Commissioner held a meeting with district officials, during which he categorically stated that any delay in development works would not be tolerated.

Capt Manoj directed the officials to complete the ongoing projects in the district within the stipulated time frame and with the highest quality standards.

He said to ensure that the benefits of the schemes reach the last person, officials should personally verify the work and ensure that the allocated funds are used transparently and effectively.

The Deputy Commissioner warned that strict disciplinary action would be taken against the officers and contractors who are negligent in their work.

Mahendragarh Additional Deputy Commissioner Tarun Pawaria, SDM (Mahendragarh) Kanika Goyal, SDM (Narnaul) Anirudh Yadav and Deputy Municipal Commissioner Ranveer Singh were also present.
