Haryana Diary: Congress MLA ready with questions

Faridabad: The upcoming Monsoon Session of the state Assembly is likely to be proven as dominance ground for Neeraj Sharma, Congress MLA from the NIT Assembly segment, as he has listed several questions for the Question Hour on various dates of the session. Most of his questions are related to the probe connected with alleged scam of Rs 200 crore in the district civic body. He has also tried to corner the state government on other matters.

Vij takes dig at Cong with Bollywood song

Ambala: Known for his prompt actions and statements, Home Minister Anil Vij left many amazed after he started singing a famous Bollywood song to take a dig at the Congress for its protests in black clothes. While responding to media queries, the minister sang the lyrics of Laga Chunri Mein Daag and said the Congress was dramatising the issue to avoid the ED probe and the leaders were donning black clothes to hide their wrong deeds.

Who will it be, father or son?

Adampur: The Adampur byelection is on the cards after the resignation of Kuldeep Bishnoi, who left the Congress to join the BJP. The local electorate is keenly waiting for the BJP to announce its candidate. While Kuldeep has named his son, Bhavya, as an aspirant, people in the BJP circles say Kuldeep himself should join the fray. Though Adampur is considered as a pocket borough of the Bishnoi family, it will be interesting to see whether the BJP fields the father or the son in the byelection.

Word war between BJP, Cong over civic issue

Panipat: The war of words between BJP leader Ashok Narang and Congress leader Neerja Bahri on a civic issue in Ward 9 has become the centre of discussion. Bahri reached the Gujranwala Mohalla near Amar Bhawan Chowk on the call of her supporters to raise the issue of choked sewers. Meanwhile, Narang reached there too. Both leaders had directed words at each other over the choked sewers and other issues in the district. Even supporters of both leaders had an altercation over a broken sewer pipe. Residents of the colony had also hung banners against Narang a few days ago, claiming that he had treated the colony like an orphan.
