The state economy had grown by 9.7 percent in 2023-24.The Survey, prepared by the Department of Economic and Statistical Affairs, Haryana, was tabled in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha on Monday along with the Budget 2026-27.The per capita income of the state at constant (2011-12) prices is estimated at Rs 2.16 lakh in 2025-26, registering a growth of 8.2% over 6.3% in 2024-25. Haryana continues to maintain a higher per capita income than the national average, which is projected at Rs 1.22 lakh for 2025-26.Gross State Value Added (GSVA)The Services sector contributes 52.1% to the state’s Gross State Value Added (GSVA), followed by industry at 33% and agriculture at 14.9%.The overall GSVA growth at constant prices is estimated at 9.5% in 2025-26, compared to 7.6% in 2024-25. Growth of 8.9% in industry and 11.5% in services is driving the expansion, while agriculture is estimated to moderate to 4.4% from 4.8% last year.“The economic growth of the state has become more dependent on the growth in the industry and services sectors during the past few years. However, recent experience suggests that high GSVA growth without sustained, rapid agricultural growth is likely to accelerate inflation in the state, jeopardising broader growth process. Therefore, the growth of agriculture and allied sectors continues to be a critical factor in the overall performance of the state's economy,” says the Survey.The agriculture and allied sector is estimated to contribute Rs 1 lakh crore to GSVA, of which Rs 92,872 crore comes from crops and livestock. Crops and livestock are projected to grow at 4.4% in 2025-26, down from 4.8% in 2024-25. While the fishing sector has seen a dip, forestry and logging have recorded a marginal rise.The industry sector’s GSVA is estimated at Rs 2.21 lakh crore in 2025-26, reflecting a growth of 8.9% over 6.7% in 2024-25. Manufacturing growth has risen to 8% from 5.5% last year. Construction is expected to grow by 11.2% compared to 9.4% previously, alongside gains in mining and quarrying.The services sector is projected to contribute Rs 3.50 lakh crore in 2025-26, marking a growth of 11.5% over 9.1% in 2024-25.The Survey notes that the 11.5% growth in services is largely driven by strong performance in trade, repair, hotel & restaurants (11.9%), transport, storage and communication (12.9%), and financial services, real estate, ownership of dwellings and professional services (11%).
