Haryana Gramin Bank Chairperson Sumant Kumar inaugurated a new branch of the bank at Pataudi village in Bhiwani district in order to expand financial inclusion for customers in rural areas.
Kumar said the new branch was part of the initiatives the bank had been taking to enhance banking accessibility and deliver improved, state-of-the-art services to customers in rural areas.
The sarpanch of Pataudi village and sarpanches from nearby villages, along with Bhiwani Regional Manager Vinod Singhal, were also present on the occasion.
A customer awareness programme was also organised at the event, with its focus on banking products, government schemes, digital services and cyber security, encouraging safe digital banking practices. The officials also interacted with the customers emphasising better execution, customer service, infrastructure and focused business growth. The chairman reiterated the bank’s vision of a digitally empowered, inclusive and customer-first institution aligned with Viksit Bharat @2047.
