Haryana to be growth engine of Developed India-2047: CM
Stakeholders share suggestions at pre-Budget meet
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday said the state would “prove to be the growth engine of Developed India-2047”.
“To ensure that Haryana’s contribution is useful in the national interest, work is being carried out in a planned manner,” he said at a pre-Budget workshop at Gurugram University, adding that the Haryana Vision Document–2047 had been prepared through “extensive consultation, in-depth study and participation of experts”.
The Chief Minister held discussions with stakeholders from industry, health, IT and education for the 2026-27 Budget. Industry representatives shared suggestions for the upcoming Budget.
Saini said the government had constituted a Department of Future to respond to emerging global changes, stressing that departmental plans must focus “more on outcomes than activities”.
He said the Vision Document is based on six strategic themes, including finance and security; education, skills and employability; health and nutrition; agriculture, food security and environment; infrastructure; and regional development and local self-governance.
“The Budget for 2026-27 will be fully aligned with all these themes,” the Chief Minister said.
Senior officers gave sector-wise presentations. NITI Aayog member Ramesh Chand and senior state officials attended the workshop.
