Chandigarh, October 18
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday ordered speeding up of the process of uploading latest class-wise teacher-student data of schools on school information management system, an online portal.
The step aimed to provide quality education by ensuring required student-teacher ratio up to Class XII.
Khattar was presiding over a meeting of the Education Department here. Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma was present.
It was mentioned that over 21,000 girls had applied under the “Chhatra Parivahan Suraksha Yojana”, providing free travel to girl students. — TNS
