'He touched me': Haryana Women Commission summons Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh over molestation allegations
Due to negative publicity, the Haryanvi actress also lost her role in Delhi's Ram Leela
Haryana State Women Commission chairperson Renu Bhatia has summoned Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh on a complaint of a Haryanvi actress over alleged molestation and her defamation by his public relation (PR) team.
Bhatia has told the Commissioner of Police, Faridabad, to ensure the presence of both Pawan Singh and the actress at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Faridabad on April 2.
The actress told The Tribune, “The incident dates back to August 29, 2025, in Lucknow. There was a song launch. He touched me on the stage.”
The video of the molestation also went viral. As there was social media backlash, Singh’s PR team told her to post a story online saying he had apologised to her and that she didn’t want to drag the issue further.
“I put up the story after his apology. But the harassment didn’t end there. Fake interviews were put up to assassinate my character. My pictures were put up on porn sites, as thumbnail images.”
She further said that due to negative publicity, she even lost her role in Delhi’s Ram Leela, which she had been performing for years. She has demanded the removal of online content against her.
Bhatia had earlier summoned rapper Badshah over the content of lyrics in his song ‘Tatereee’. Panchkula Police registered a case against him and have so far got removed 525 URLs of YouTube, 967 URLs of Instagram, and 96 URLs of Facebook regarding the song.
The singer is yet to appear before the Commission.
