Faridabad, February 10

The entry of heavy vehicles will remain prohibited on the roads leading to Surajkund till February 18 in view of the ongoing International Crafts Mela.

A spokesperson for the police department said it has been done in view of the reports of traffic jams on the main Surajkund road since the start of the fair on February 2. The ban on heavy vehicles on this road will remain effective till the culmination of the mela on February 18.

Providing details of the route plan, the police stated that heavy vehicles travelling to Delhi from the Gurugram road side will be directed to use the route passing through Sainik Colony Mor via Pyali Chowk and Masjid point to reach the main highway at Bata Chowk. They clarified that the movement of such vehicles would not be permitted between Sainik Colony turn towards Badkhal and towards Mathura road from this point.
