Hisar, Adampur get new jetting machines

He said a number of new and advanced machines are also being procured by the Public Health Engineering Department for this purpose.
Gangwa while inaugurating a sucker/jetting machine for Hisar and Adampur towns here on Sunday said sewer cleaning could be carried out even in narrow lanes with these jetting machines. “This high-pressure jetting-cum-suction (vacuum) type hydraulically operated sewer-cleaning machine, costing about Rs 42 lakh, has a capacity of 10,000 litres,” he informed.
The advanced machine is designed for sewer lines with diameters ranging from 200 mm to 400 mm. “Its dual capacity—high-pressure jetting and powerful suction—ensures that the dirt, sludge and other blockages accumulated in sewer lines are completely removed, including in areas where machine is inaccessible. The problems of sewer blockage will be reduced which will also prevent waterlogging and backflow of the sewer lines,” he said.
The Cabinet Minister said the Public Health Engineering Department was in the final stage of procuring one super sucker machine worth Rs 255 lakh and another jetting machine worth nearly Rs 20 lakh for the town. With the arrival of these new machines, cleanliness in Hisar will further improve, he added.
He minister said the state at present has six super sucker machines, and now 20 new machines costing Rs 2.55 crore were being purchased. The department’s goal was to ensure that every district had a super sucker machine. The decision was taken in the High-Powered Purchase Committee chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. He said under the AMRUT-2 scheme, works worth Rs 2,100 crore were underway in the state. Once all works were completed, there would no longer be difficulties related to the sewerage system.
