Farmers showed black flags to Hisar BJP MLA Kamal Gupta and forced him to return at the Ramayan toll plaza in Hisar on the Hisar-Delhi road today.

The farmers raised anti-government slogans when they spotted the vehicle of the MLA near the toll plaza.

The MLA later informed mediapersons that he was going to Hansi to attend a meeting when a group of farmers stopped him and waved black flags. He said that nobody misbehaved with him and told him that they would not let him cross the toll plaza.

“So, I decided to take an alternative route and reached my destination. I have not lodged any complaint as no untoward incident occurred at the spot,” he said. — TNS
