Hisar MP Dushyant Chautala on Tuesday appeared before a local court in a defamation case file against Health Minister Anil Vij for making “drug addict” remarks against him. Judicial Magistrate (First Class) Richu recorded Dushyant’s statement and adjourned the case to September 19.
After appearing in the court, Dushyant said that he would fight the case until Vij submits an apology. Vij had given a statement on April 3 that he (Dushyant) seemed to have started taking drugs and he should be sent to rehabilitation centre. The INLD MP said that Vij had defamed him, his family and the area of Sirsa/Hisar by making totally false, baseless and malicious allegations. Dushyant had served legal notice on the minister demanding unconditional public apology for his statement. — TNS
