Karnal, Raipur horticulture varsities sign MoU for joint research
The partnership will also facilitate exchange of expertise, academic resources and training programmes
In a major step to strengthen research and innovation in horticulture, Maharana Pratap Horticulture University (MHU), Karnal, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Mahatma Gandhi University of Horticulture and Forestry (MGUHF), Raipur. The collaboration aims to promote advanced technologies, joint research and knowledge exchange to benefit farmers across states.
MHU Vice-Chancellor Prof Suresh Malhotra said the MoU would deliver impactful results at the national level. The agreement was signed at Pandit Kishori Lal Shukla College of Horticulture and Forestry, Rajnandgaon, in the presence of MGUHF VC RR Saxena and Prof Malhotra.
Under the MoU, scientists, faculty members and students from both universities will collaborate on new technologies and undertake joint research projects.
The partnership will also facilitate exchange of expertise, academic resources and training programmes. Special focus will be given to climate-resilient technologies and value addition in horticulture and forestry.
