All government and private schools in Gurugram have been directed to continue classes in hybrid mode for students up to Class V in view of persistently poor air quality in the district.
The decision allows students and their guardians to choose between online and offline classes, keeping children’s health and safety in focus. Announcing the order through an official post on X, the Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram said the measure was being implemented as per the directions of the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM).
“According to the guidelines of the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), the orders issued on November 13, 2025, regarding hybrid mode classes up to Grade 5 in the Gurugram district will remain in effect until further notice,” the Deputy Commissioner stated.
The DC clarified that the directive was a continuation of the earlier November order, as air quality levels in Gurugram have remained in the ‘very poor’ AQI category for the past several days.
Parents and school authorities have been advised to strictly follow the instructions and remain alert to further directions, which may be issued depending on changing air quality conditions.
Earlier, the Delhi Government had also issued similar instructions, allowing online classes for all students except those in Class 12, amid worsening pollution across the NCR.
