If colour splashes, endure it: Haryana minister Anil Vij on Holi-Jumma row
Amid the ongoing Holi-Jumma row in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij has commented that Hindustan is the land of Hindus, and people should have the patience to endure if colour splashes on them during Holi celebrations.
Speaking to mediapersons about the controversy, Vij said, “You are living in Hindustan, and if we break down the word Hindustan, it means the land of Hindus. Hindus will celebrate their festival with enthusiasm, and if some colour splashes on you, you should have the patience to endure it.”
He further compared Holi to natural elements like rain, saying, "If it is raining outside, and those who don’t wish to get wet should stay inside their home. I don’t play Holi, and I stay at home. But if someone steps outside, their clothes are bound to get a little wet, and they must endure it."
