The local unit of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has strongly condemned the recent attack on Pushpanjali Hospital in Rewari and demanded immediate arrest of the accused.
During a meeting here on Friday, the IMA unit expressed its serious concern over the incident. Local IMA president Dr Parveen Garg said that attacks on doctors and hospitals had happened on many occasions and the association had apprised the authorities, but the government had failed to take any effective steps.
Dr Garg said that they would be forced to go on strike if the attackers were not arrested. Association secretary Dr Vikas Gupta, treasurer Dr Vikas Walia, Dr SK Singhal, Dr SN Singla, Dr Jaidev Popli, Dr Vinod Gautam and others were present on the occasion.
