IMD predicts light to moderate rain across Haryana for Sunday

On Saturday, the average maximum temperature in the state decreased by 1.7 degrees Celsius

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall over a few places in Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal and Panipat for Sunday. Few places correspond to 26-50 per cent.

However, over Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Jhajjar, Gurugram, Nuh, Palwal, Faridabad, Rohtak, Sonepat, Jind, Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri, light to moderate rainfall is expected at isolated places. Isolated places correspond to up to 25 per cent.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, the average maximum temperature in the state decreased by 1.7 degrees Celsius. However, it was 8.9 degrees Celsius below normal. The highest maximum temperature in the state was 37.8 degrees Celsius, recorded at Bopani in Faridabad.

On Saturday, Karnal recorded 15.5 mm of rainfall, 0.5 mm was recorded in Nuh, 5 mm in Gurugram, 7 mm in Sirsa, 12 mm in Sonepat, 1.5 mm in Mahendragarh and 0.5 mm in Yamunanagar.
