BJP MP and candidate Rattan Lal Kataria today filed his nomination papers in the presence of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and state Health Minister Anil Vij.

After filing the nomination papers, Kataria targeted Congress MP and candidate Kumari Selja, and said “We both are MPs and I will tell the people how much money Selja has spent from her MPLAD fund in Ambala parliamentary constituency. She has only given Rs 11 lakh in Panchkula, Rs 1.85 lakh in Yamunanagar and Rs 81 lakh in Ambala. I will win the election by a record margin.”

In his affidavit, the MP has shown his moveable assets to be of Rs 51,55,468 and his wife Banto Kataria has moveable assets of 47,73,342 against the moveable assets of Rs 8,32,845 and Rs 11,27,554 respectively, according to the affidavit filed in the previous Lok Sabha election. The MP has shown two dependents (father and mother) to have moveable assets of Rs 1,02,078 and Rs 80,610 while no dependent had any asset as per the last election’s affidavit.
