INLD protests over ‘irregularities’ in recruitment in Haryana's Panchkula

The INLD staged a protest outside the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) office in Panchkula today, alleging irregularities in recruitment for government jobs and discrimination against Haryana’s youth.

The protest was led by several senior party leaders, including INLD national patron Prof Sampat Singh, national president and MLA Abhay Singh Chautala and state president Rampal Majra.

Party workers gathered in large numbers and later submitted a memorandum to the Governor through the Panchkula ADC.

They claimed that highly qualified candidates from Haryana—holding degrees such as PhDs, NET, MPhil, and MTech—were being forced to accept lower-level jobs. Chautala accused the BJP government of misleading the public with claims of transparent recruitment. He alleged that candidates from BJP-ruled states outside Haryana were being appointed to Group A and B gazetted posts, while qualified local candidates were being ignored.

He also alleged that individuals linked to the RSS were being recruited and placed in educational institutions with the intention of promoting a particular ideology.

Prof Sampat Singh said youth represented the future of a state. He alleged that the government was weakening them by keeping them unemployed and allowing external influences to dominate state institutions.

Majra said in several recent recruitments to Group A and B posts, nearly 90% of selected candidates were from outside Haryana. The INLD leadership said if action was not taken, the party would intensify the protest.
