Karnal: The Haryana Air Squadron of the NCC unit of Karnal celebrated the 8th International Yoga Day. The programme was organised on the first day of the 10-day ATC camp going on at Geeta Institute in Kanipla, Kurukshetra. The program began with the live telecast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the nation on the importance of yoga. Around 400 cadets participated in the celebrations and performed various yogasanas.
Admission open to foreign pupils
Faridabad: JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, is offering admission to foreign students in engineering, science and management courses for the academic year 2022-23. The process will open in the first week of July. Students from foreign countries, students under the Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Category and children of Indian workers in Gulf countries can also apply.
Int’l conference on business mgmt
Panipat: The Department of Management Studies of Panipat Institute of Technology and Engineering (PIET) organised a virtual international conference on “Contemporary issues in business, management and economics”. More than 200 research papers were submitted during the conference. Speakers from various national and international universities presented their thoughts and ideas on various aspects of business management and entrepreneurship.
Workshop on positive emotions, life
Rohtak: The faculty of social sciences and education of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), in collaboration with Chaudhry Ranbir Singh Institute of Social and Economic Change, organised a workshop on the importance of positive emotions and the leading a purposeful life. Dr Vandana Sharma, Professor of Eminence, Akal University, Talwandi Sabo, was the speaker of the day. She shared the mantra of achieving professional excellence and said efforts must be made to overpower ‘monkey mind’.
