IRCTC launches first-ever spiritual tour on Sirsa route
This 13-day journey will provide over 700 passengers with an all inclusive experience to visit these revered religious sites
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), under the Ministry of Railways, has arranged a special spiritual tour for passengers on the Sirsa route. This is the first time such an initiative is being launched.
Harshdeep, Joint General Manager (Tourism) at the IRCTC Regional Office, Chandigarh, shared this news with the media at the Sirsa Railway Station on Friday. He mentioned that this special train, part of the prestigious Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train, will depart from Ferozepur on April 24, 2026. The train will take passengers to spiritual places like The Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh, Tirupati, Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy Temple, Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga Temple (Andhra Pradesh), Srisailam Rameswaram (Tamil Nadu), Arulmigu Meenakshi Sundaraswarar Temple, Madurai, Kanniyakumari, and the Markapur (Srisailam) region.
Harshdeep explained that while this train route previously only operated through Punjab, for the first time it will takes passengers to the above-mentioned spiritual destinations.
This 13-day journey will provide over 700 passengers with an all inclusive experience to visit these revered religious sites. If this pilot initiative proves successful, IRCTC plans to continue it regularly in the future.
