JNU Prof Milap Punia takes charge as MDU Vice-Chancellor

He specialises in Regional Development, Remote Sensing, and Geographic Information System (GIS). He has been engaged in teaching and research since 1998. Dr Punia expressed immense pride and a great sense of responsibility upon assuming the office of the Vice Chancellor of MDU, Rohtak.
Paying tribute to the great social reformer of India, Swami Dayanand, Prof. Punia said that collective efforts will be made with a futuristic vision for Viksit Bharat 2047 to take MDU to new heights of academic excellence, meaningful research, an inclusive learning environment, student capacity building in consonance with global trends, holistic personality development of the students, and professional growth avenues for the faculty members.
The VC said that he would be looking forward to creative ideas, cooperation, and enthusiastic participation from all the University stakeholders in the University's growth story.
