Kaithal youth among two killed in Malaysia

KAITHAL: A youth from Taragarh village in Kaithal district was reportedly murdered in Malaysia on December 2.

A youth from Taragarh village in Kaithal district was reportedly murdered in Malaysia on December 2. Vikas had gone to Malaysia about 11 months ago. His family received the shocking news thorough some source in that country. The bereaved family members, who have no information through official channels, are making efforts to know the facts and have contacted the Malaysian Embassy in New Delhi.

According to information, another youth, who also was killed, belonged to Punjab but no further details about him are available. Vikas’s family members said he worked in a factory in Malaysia and Gurmeet, a resident of Punjab, Vikram, a resident of Barta village in Kaithal, and a Nepalese were his colleagues. On December 2 night, Vikas and Gurmeet arrived at the factory gate for duty when unidentified youths attacked them with sharp-edged weapons. Both reportedly died on the spot. Vikas’s family members got information the next day that Vikas had been injured in a fight. They repeatedly tried to contact him on his mobile phone but got no response. Later they learnt about his killing from own source.

Subhash, a Vikas’s relative, said that a Malaysian newspaper had published the news about the murder of two Indian youths but no further details were available. They had met MP Dushyant Chautala and sought his help in the matter.
