Kurukshetra, August 21

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar conducted an aerial survey to assess the situation and crop loss due to flood-like situation in five districts of Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Panipat and Sonepat on Wednesday.

After his Jan Ashirwaad Yatra in Thanesar last night, the CM stayed in Kurukshetra University and went for the aerial survey in the morning in his official helicopter.

During his survey, the CM gathered information about the rescue operations and relief work done in affected areas and directed the officials to shift the affected people to safer places.

A dozen villages in Yamunanagar district were flooded by the excess water released from the Hathni Kund barrage, submerging thousands of acres of crops.
