Rohtak, August 3
The Akhil Bhartiya Kisan Congress (ABKC) would take out Kisan Majdoor Samman and Nyay Yatra, a foot march, in all 10 parliamentary constituencies across the state in view of the upcoming Assembly elections.

After Bhiwani and Rohtak, the yatra will be taken out in Sonepat on August 12, Karnal on August 16, Kurukshetra on August 21, Ambala on August 23, Sirsa on August 27, Hisar on August 29, Gurugram on September 1 and Faridabad on September 3.  — Virendra Hooda, Farm leader

The yatra would be launched in Bhiwani on August 5 and will be taken out in Rohtak district on August 8. ABKC chairman Sukhpal Singh Khaira has appointed farm leader Virendra Hooda and Om Prakash Khatri as convener of the yatra for the Rohtak parliamentary constituency.
“The yatra aims at uniting farmers and labourers in the Assembly elections with an intention to oust the BJP from power in the state as the saffron government has pushed the farmers and labourers on the verge of devastation by executing erroneous policies,” said Virendra Hooda, while talking to the media here today. Sharing the details of the yatra in Rohtak, Virendra said the yatra would kick off from Ismaila village and culminate at Chhotu Ram Memorial at Garhi Sampla village here on August 8. Farmers from various villages of Rohtak and Jhajjar district would participate in it, he said. At Garhi Sampla, those farmers who played a vital role in the farm agitation on Delhi borders would be felicitated, he said.
Virendra said the BJP had grabbed the votes of innocent farmers by making false promises of resolving their grievances and doubling their income but the reality was that the cost of agricultural input had risen many-fold while the income was persistently going down due to the “anti-farmer” policies of the BJP government, he said.
