Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal addresses mega health camp
The camp provided information and tests related to high blood pressure, eye check-ups, diabetes and other health issues
Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal addressed people on Sunday during the mega health camp organised at the RKSD college campus in Kaithal on the occasion of International Women’s Day and on his birthday, which falls on March 9.
On the occasion, Jindal said that health camps were highly beneficial for society as these help people become aware of their health conditions and enable timely treatment. The objective behind organising the mega health camp in Kaithal was to ensure a healthy society. He also called upon people to actively participate in social service activities to support people in distress.
Earlier, he inspected the arrangements at the camp and reviewed the facilities. He also underwent his own health check-up.
Jindal said that under the leadership of PM Modi and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, several schemes had been launched in the health sector, benefiting a large number of people. Under the Ayushman Yojana, financial assistance up to Rs 5 lakh is insured for free medical treatment.
During the examinations, many women were found to have low haemoglobin levels in their blood. Such camps help people seek timely treatment and regain good health. Generally, about 20-25 per cent of women were anaemic, he said. He advised women to ensure intake of nutritious food.
The camp also provided information and tests related to high blood pressure, eye check-ups, diabetes and other health issues.
