Kurukshetra man arrested for raping minor girl, filming assaults for a year
Complainant alleged accused's wife and their neighbour were also involved
A 42-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping and blackmailing a minor girl in Kurukshetra.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Shahzad, alias Raju, a resident of Kurukshetra. He was produced before a court, which sent him to jail.
As per the Kurukshetra police spokesman on February 13, a woman in her complaint at the Women Police Station stated that her 14-year-old daughter had been raped by Mohammad Shahzad.
The accused had also made a video, which he was using to blackmail her and sexually assault her repeatedly over the last year. He had threatened to make the video and the obscene pictures viral.
The complainant in her complaint alleged that Shahzad’s wife and their neighbour, Ali, were also involved.
A case was registered at the Women's police station under the sections of the POCSO Act, BNS, and the SC/ST Act.
