Kurukshetra University launches new website for distance and online education
Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor Prof Som Nath Sachdeva on Friday launched the new website of the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE).
Speaking on the occasion, Sachdeva said the launch of the new CDOE website reflects the university’s strong commitment to digital transformation in higher education and wider access to quality learning.
He said the technology-driven platform has been designed as a comprehensive digital gateway for distance and online learners. It provides seamless access to academic, examination and student support services through a single platform.
The VC said the website features a modern design, an intuitive user interface and simple navigation to ensure a smooth user experience. Keeping students’ needs in mind, the platform brings together a wide range of academic and support services. It enables learners from across India and abroad to access essential information and services with ease.
He added that the initiative is in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and strengthens the university’s efforts to promote digital education, academic transparency and student-centred governance. Registrar Prof Virender Pal expressed confidence that the new platform would strengthen the university’s digital outreach and further improve the overall learning experience for students.
CDOE Director Prof Manjula Chaudhary said the new website will serve as a comprehensive digital portal for students. It offers easy access to programme details, admission procedures, Personal Contact Programme (PCP) schedules, study material, learner support services, examination-related information and other important updates. Chaudhary said more than 22,000 learners are currently enrolled with CDOE.
