On the occasion, Prof Poonia shared that the November edition of the KU Newsletter gave special prominence to the Ratnawali Festival, featuring articles on the history of Ratnawali, the Haryanvi dialect and its relation to other languages, Haryanvi media chaupal, shared cultural heritage, historical heritage, the growth of Haryanvi cinema, Haryana Pavilion and traditional art forms such as Saang, folk songs, bhajans, and raagni.
The edition also highlights the growing interest of the youth in self-employment through traditional cultural expressions and showcases Haryanvi cuisine.
Poonia emphasised that the special edition would digitally connect Haryanvi culture and the spirit of Ratnawali with universities across India.
During the release ceremony, Prof RK Deswal, and editorial team members Dr Abhinav, Dr Tapesh Kiran, Rahul Arora, and Amit Jangra were present.
