The police reached the spot soon after receiving information and began an investigation. The showroom owner later filed a complaint at the Sector 37 police station. Initial investigation has revealed possible links to the Himanshu Bhau gang.

The police further said that the owner of BBT company had earlier received threats from the gang in October 2024, when extortion worth crores of rupees was allegedly demanded. An FIR had also been registered at the Sector 37 police station at that time. However, no gang has claimed responsibility for the latest firing incident so far.

According to Gurugram police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar, three suspects involved in the firing have been identified as Atul, Deepak and Neeraj, all residents of Kulasi village in Jhajjar district.

Witnesses said three men arrived on a motorcycle and first fired at a car parked outside Big Boy Toyz showroom, believed to owned by the BBT owner. One of the bullets grazed the driver, Rajpal. The attackers then fired several rounds at the showroom building, damaging glass panels and luxury vehicles inside.

The police are continuing their investigation and are also examining whether the attack is connected to the earlier extortion case registered in October 2024.
