Lecture on mental well-being, career growth organised

The Mental Health and Well-Being Club and the Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Dayanand Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Kurukshetra, jointly organised an extension lecture on the topic ‘Clarity in chaos through mindfulness’ on Saturday.

On the occasion, Dr Prerna Saluja, professor of Management and Director of Training at Geeta Institute of Law, Panipat, was the keynote speaker. College Principal Dr Upasana Ahuja said that in today’s busy lifestyle, social and peer pressure had made students’ lives stressful. Proper motivation and clarity of thought could guide life in the right direction.

Dr Prerna, while sharing examples from her own life, encouraged students to assess their abilities and set clear goals accordingly. She emphasised that continuous effort with full dedication could lead to success. She also highlighted the three-letter formula ‘KSA’ (knowledge, skills and attitude), explaining that success can be achieved through subject knowledge, relevant skills and a positive attitude.

She advised students to keep improving their knowledge and skills and to maintain a strong belief of “I can do it.” She also provided information about various career opportunities based on education.

A total of 119 students participated in the programme.
