Man duped of Rs 5.78 lakh in Yamunanagar

A man was allegedly duped of Rs 5.78 lakh on the promise of sending him to Kuwait.

On the complaint of Soni Kumar of the Camp area in Yamunanagar, a case was registered against Mohammad Tabish and his wife, belonging to Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh at the Gandhi Nagar police station in Yamunanagar.

The complainant told the police that a woman took a room on rent at his house in January 2024.

He said that the woman told him that her husband lived in Kuwait and he worked to send Indian people to Kuwait.

He further said she assured him that her husband would send him to Kuwait, too.

“They took Rs 5,78,700 from me in different installments, but I was not sent to Kuwait. When I asked for my money back, they started threatening me with dire consequences,” the complainant told the police.
