The district police arrested a resident of Ambala Cantonment and recovered an illegal weapon and two live cartridges from him on Tuesday.
As per the police, the accused, Yashpal, alias Mata, was intercepted on a tip-off at a check-post near Tangri bridge in Mahesh Nagar near here. Yashpal was produced before a local court, which remanded him to two-day police custody. — TNS
