Martyr’s mortal remains to arrive in Rewari

Rewari, January 28

Deepak Kumar (37) of 24 Rashtriya Rifle, a resident of Juddi village of Kosli subdivision here, was killed in an IED explosion in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. His mortal remains will be brought to the village on Friday for cremation.

Deepak is survived by his wife, a 10-year-old son and mother. His father who was also a retired CPRF personnel had died few years back.

“Deepak had come to the village in October last year on a one-month leave. He talked to his wife over the phone for half-an-hour before he attained martyrdom on Wednesday noon. We are unable to believe that our brave son is no more,” said Deepak’s uncle Rajender who is also sarpanch of the village. He said Deepak would be cremated on Friday with full state and military honours. — TNS
