Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Mayor lays foundation stone of Rs 41.49-lakh development works

Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Mayor Suman Bahmani on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 41.91 lakh. Among the works, the Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Municipal Corporation will construct a boundary wall for Sain Dharamshala near Chitta Mandir in Ward 11, at a cost of Rs 35.91 lakh.

Also, a street in Tilak Nagar, Ward 20, will be constructed at a cost of about Rs 6 lakh.

Councillors concerned were present during the ceremony.

The Mayor instructed officials, and other parties concerned, to pay special attention to the quality of development works, and to complete these within the stipulated time period.

She said the ‘triple-engine BJP government’ was fully committed to the overall development of the twin cities.

“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre, development work is progressing at an unprecedented pace across the country. The benefits of the Prime Minister’s visionary policies and schemes are directly reaching cities and villages,” the Mayor said.

She added that, in the state, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, road construction, electricity, water supply and employment opportunities for youngsters were being rapidly implemented.

“At the municipal corporation level, city beautification, cleanliness, sewerage, drainage and park development are being prioritised. Thanks to the efforts of the ‘triple-engine government’, Yamunanagar is rapidly progressing,” the Mayor added.

She said the municipal corporation was carrying out development works without discrimination in every ward.
