Rohtak: Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) has established an online help desk to attend to technical problems of students taking online examination. The university has also constituted a technical committee for the purpose to resolve technical grievances, if any, of the examinees. MDU Vice-Chancellor Prof Rajbir Singh on Thursday held a meeting of senior university functionaries regarding conduct of university terminal year/semester examinations. Rajbir Singh stated that the university administration was committed to take care of students' interest vis-à-vis online examination. Any student who faces any technical difficulty during the course of online examination will not be put to any disadvantage, he added. The University will provide chance to such candidates in future. The VC issued instructions for functionality of the online help desk form 8 am to 8pm. MDU COE Dr BS Sindhu will monitor the functioning of this desk and any student facing any difficulty regarding online examination, may contact the online help desk number 01262-293232, or send e-mail to online [email protected], to register the grievance/complaint. University would act upon the matter and try to resolve the problem immediately.
GJUST professor honoured
Hisar: Prof R Baskar from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, has been elected unanimously as a member of the governing council of the society for the promotion of science and technology in India (SPSTI) in the 10th annual general meeting of the SPSTI. This membership is for five years. The SPSTI is a not-for-profit NGO engaged in popularisation and promotion of science and developing scientific temper in the society, children and youth in particular. Established by thirty-seven leading scientists, academicians and administrators in 2009, the society has completed 11 years of excellence.
3-day virtual training programme
Hisar: He called upon the trainees to establish their own business and gain more profits by acquiring knowledge of modern techniques required for mushroom production. Convener of the online training Dr Pavitra Kumari informed the trainees about nutrients present in mushrooms and their medicinal importance. While, plant specialist Dr Ramesh Chugh also gave suggestions related to the marketing of mushrooms and informed them about the prevention of diseases and insects in mushroom production.
