Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, former Minister of State Subhash Sudha and several other dignitaries visited the Media Chaupal on Saturday.
Khattar commended the initiative, noting that the Haryana Pavilion and the newly set up Media Chaupal had created a significant platform for presenting the state’s cultural heritage and disseminating the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. He praised Vice- Chancellor Prof Som Nath Sachdeva and his team for their vision and committed efforts.
Speaking at the Chaupal, Khattar said the pavilion not only served as a space for promoting the Gita’s message but also showcased innovative stalls set up by students from various departments. Focused on entrepreneurship, the stalls reflected the university’s efforts to encourage self-employment. He added that the creativity and talent of these students would contribute to building a self-reliant and developed India by 2047.
Former Minister of State Subhash Sudha said Media Chaupal offered a meaningful platform for discussions on the Gita in local languages and dialects, making its message more accessible. Promoting the Gita through both traditional and modern communication tools was essential and highly effective, he added.
