Medical officers to get additional increment

CHANDIGARH: The state government has decided to extend the benefit of additional increments to medical officers, which was prevalent during the 6th Pay Commission, in the 7th Pay Commission.

The state government has decided to extend the benefit of additional increments to medical officers, which was prevalent during the 6th Pay Commission, in the 7th Pay Commission.

The additional increments of existing employees will be revised by multiplying 2.57 to the existing amount of present increments and will be rounded up to the next hundred.

The amount of additional increments will be kept as a separate component and will not be treated as pay for the purpose of admissibility of HRA and DA of subsequent increment and pension benefits.

According to the Haryana Civil Medical Services Association president, Dr Jasbir Parmar, the decision was taken after the September 5 strike called by doctors across the state.
