A 16-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped in Panipat village.
Father of the victim stated to the Sanoli police that his minor daughter was gang raped on February 20, but she didn’t disclose it to him or his wife.
On Friday, his daughter told them that Savej of the same village took her to the fields where two more boys – Jawed and Akram – were already present.
The victim disclosed that Savej forcibly raped her after Akram caught her legs while Nasim caught her hands. The accused also threatened to kill her and her family members for disclosing about it to anyone.
The police have registered a case against Savej, Akram and Nasim under Sections 70 (2), 351 (3) of the BNS and Section 6 of the POCSO Act.
Sanoli SHO Vedpal said a case had been registered against the accused. The girl has been produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC).
No accused has been arrested so far and probe into the matter was underway, the SHO added.
