Kalka MLA holds meet, reviews ongoing development works in Vyaspur

A review meeting of ongoing development works was held with officers of the Vyaspur subdivision in Vyaspur town of Yamunanagar district on Thursday. The meeting was chaired by Shakti Rani Sharma, MLA from the Kalka Assembly constituency.

Officials from various departments, including the Public Works Department, Health Department, Public Health Engineering Department, Police Department and Panchayat Department, were present at the meeting.

During the meeting, MLA Shakti Rani Sharma conducted a detailed review of ongoing development works in the Vyaspur-Sadhaura block. She directed officials to expedite the ongoing works and ensure that there was no compromise on quality.

She said ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reached the last person was the primary responsibility of officials. She reviewed the progress of major government schemes such as the Khet Khaliyan Yojana, Shiv Dham Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Har Ghar Har Chhat Yojana, Amrit Sarovar Yojana and other public welfare schemes.

The MLA also discussed in detail several important issues, including law and order in the area, the condition of roads, problems caused by overloaded vehicles, prevention of illegal mining and the state of health services, and issued necessary directions to the concerned departments.

She instructed officials to ensure the timely resolution of public grievances. “The government is fully committed to the overall development of the region,” said Shakti Rani Sharma.

Later, she visited the Atal Library located in Vyaspur town. She inspected the library’s facilities and instructed the officials concerned to ensure all basic amenities, including cleanliness, proper seating arrangements, adequate lighting, availability of books and other necessary resources, so that students and the general public could derive maximum benefit from it.

On the occasion, BJP district president Rajesh Sapra also reviewed the development works with the concerned officials and provided necessary guidance. He said the BJP government was continuously working for the development and welfare of the common people.

SDM Jaspal Singh Gill, DSP Harvinder Singh, former MLA Balwant Singh, chairperson of the Sadhaura Municipal Committee Shalini Sharma and other officials were present.
