Karnal: Pratap Public School, Jarnailly Colony, Karnal, hosted a special morning assembly to salute mothers on Mother's Day. The event acknowledged the contribution of mothers who ceaselessly endure the highs and lows of life to groom their children into responsible members of society. In the online gala assembly conducted across Classes VII to X and attended by parents and students alike, the class teachers welcomed the mothers. Emotions flowed in the form of a slideshow titled 'Memories with mom' that showcased clips and photographs shared by students honouring their mothers. Director principal Poonam Navet turned out to be a novel platform for parents to connect with the school.

Call for reaching out to the needy

On the occasion of World Red Cross Day, the Vice-Chancellor of Kurukshetra University, Prof Som Nath Sachdeva, called on Youth Red Cross volunteers to help the needy.

Kurukshetra: On the occasion of World Red Cross Day, the Vice-Chancellor of Kurukshetra University, Prof Som Nath Sachdeva, called on Youth Red Cross volunteers to help the needy. He said during this global Covid epidemic, Red Cross had played an important role in the world and stood by an important motto of Red Cross: "Protect life, ensure every human being's health and respect for them." The VC further said, "All the youth Red Cross volunteers should be careful and fearless to contribute to the society. We should cooperate with the administration as much as possible in this critical situation. By following all Covid guidelines, we should also inspire others to work for the society." The Vice-Chancellor said all volunteers can contribute to social service by registering themselves on the link provided by the Kurukshetra district administration.

Symposium at Guru Nanak college

Yamunanagar: A symposium, Tarang, was organised at Guru Nanak Khalsa College, in which teachers and students participated. College principal Dr Major Harinder Singh Kang congratulated all students and teachers on the birth anniversary of world poet Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, Maharana Pratap Jayanti and on Mother's Day. Patron of the college management committee, Bhupendra Singh Jauhar and chairman Randeep Singh Jauhar were also present.
